Attached is a copy of a photo I have of (what I believe to be) a John Adams Whipple Daguerreotype. This parlor room scene photograph was taken of my Hyde family ancestors in September of 1860, in Boston. All my relatives in this photo are named, which include my 3rd great grandparents, my 2nd great grandfather, also three gg grandaunts, with spouses, and one gg granduncle. I'm thinking that this might be a photo of a Salted Paper copy of the original Daguerreotype. Anyway, Hoping for some validation of my thoughts that this is a copy print (possibly a Salted Paper copy) of a John Adams Whipple Daguerreotype. Given the date and location of the photograph, the manor in how the subjects were posed, with the books resting on silk tablecloth on round table, and the foot stool, this all points to a John Adams Whipple. Thanks for listening, hope to here from you soon.. Steven Lot Smith, firstname.lastname@example.org.
